Student myNEU accounts
All students need myNEU accounts. Your myNEU account grants you access to the myNEU portal (online student services and your e-mail.) Your myNEU also grants you access to Blackboard. How to obtain a myNEU account:
- Full-time Undergraduate Admitted Students : You will be contacted by the admissions office with account information.
- Full-time Undergraduate Day Students: If you had a myNEU account as an Admitted student, your account will be converted before start of school.
- Graduate Students: Contact your college or program to obtain your myNEU account.
- College of Professional Studies: Applicants will be granted myNEU access upon acceptance. You will receive information regarding your myNEU account in your admissions materials. New students who do not apply to a program will receive access to create a myNEU account after registering for their first class.
If you can't answer your challenge question, call the Help Line (617) 373-4357(xHELP) go to the InfoCommons with your NUID to get a password reset.
Alumni E-mail Account FAQs
- Can I open a myNEU account? No. myNEU Accounts are only available to current students.
- When and how can I sign up for my permanent @alumni.neu.edu e-mail forwarding account? Three months after your graduation date, you are eligible to sign up for your permanent @alumni.neu.edu e-mail forwarding account. It takes awhile for us to transfer all graduation data from the Registrar’s office to our files. Once your data is in our system, simply visit the Alumni Online Community to sign up.

Visit myNEU.neu.edu to obtain an account online.You can use your myNEU account to view your HR information, access Blackboard, obtain software, and more. Please note that if you are currently using Blackboard, Lotus Notes Webmail (NEUmail), your old username and passwords will become invalid as soon as you obtain your myNEU username and password. Please use your myNEU username and password to access these applications. Contact the IS Help Line at (617) 373-4357(xHELP).

A 9-digit number has replaced social security numbers (or non-SSN
numbers) as the key identifier on most University records and systems.
Your NU ID is posted in your myNEU portal account. Login to myNEU.neu.edu
to view your NUID number. Current students can see their NU ID under
the Self Service tab in myNEU. Current Faculty and Staff can view
their NU ID under the Services and Links tab.
